Celebrity chef Keller has cornered the luxury burger market with his ‘Rossini Burger’ priced at $60. This heart stopping indulgence is named for the classic French sauce made with foie gras, shaved black truffles and madera sauce. At the Burger Bar it’s served over a grilled Kobe beef patty inside an onion bun. OK, I hear you… may want to just go with the myriad of other options including the ‘Keller Burger’ at a mere $22 a pop. Let your self go.

If you are still on an expense account, or order carefully, these are super good burgers - top notch in fact. The restaurant has a great selection of Belgian Ales, as well as an excellent wine list. Might just be a tad over the top for all excepting the Vegas crowd, but the Burger Bar certainly does for the iconic burger joint what ‘Hot Dog on a Stick’ did for the corn dog.

On Union Square - inside Macy’s

The Burger Lounge provides a simple, premium quality menu that appeals to the health-conscious diner (vegetarians and salad lovers, that’s you!) to those simply hankering for a great hamburger.

The beef comes from one farm, grown by a small company where the animals are well treated and never spend time in a corporate “feed lot.” Their diet consists of tall green grass from beautiful Kansas prairie land. This is what nature intended cows to eat and nothing more. No hormones, no antibiotics, no grain, no corn—just beautiful green grass. These conditions produce a beef that is delicious and far better for you than conventionally grown beef. Great fries and rings complement.

Open year-round, you can dig into one of the juiciest burgers for a mere $6.25 (add .75 cents for cheese) with all the toppings. Similar to that well-known fast food burger that has two all beef patties (except that it’s one patty), special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun, this one’s grilled to order and perfection, and hasn’t been waiting around in a steamy bin for who knows how long. All burgers are served with fries or chips, but they have a “chips only” policy if you are on the turn or, for you novice golfers, playing the next 9 holes.

For the non-burger type and, yes there are some, all beef jumbo hot dogs are offered for $3.25. Golfers can also stop for hot or cold sandwiches or a quick beer between 9’s. Breakfast is served for early-birds and all day. Not a whole lot of options for vegetarians. Best advice: eat before golfing.

Neophyte golfers are more than welcome. Otherwise, I would have never discovered Bunker’s.
