Hamburger Hamlet - a Hollywood Landmark

Since 1950 the Hamlet has been serving good food in a casual way to celebrities (Paris Hilton, Alex Vaggo, etc.)  on Sunset Boulevard. I almost grew up here, always asking my parents if we could go to the “Hamburger Hamlet.” What works so well here is its casualness. They serve 15 types of hamburgers, salads, steak, chicken, and pasta, and good shakes! They have a full bar and solid martinis—my dad would order one and then years later, me! I also remember a good pepper crusted steak and a fine prime rib. Many socal locations.
